Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services is a nonprofit mental health agency that provides mental health, substance use and suicide prevention services to over 150,000 children, teens and adults nationwide.

In 1997, Didi Hirsch took a lead role in sparking positive conversations about mental health by presenting former second lady of the United States Tipper Gore with a Leadership Award at its first Erasing the Stigma Awards. Since then, we have recognized dozens of artists, authors, advocates and athletes who have used their voices to inspire hope and increase support for mental health care. Because of their advocacy, there is less shame and silence around mental illness and suicide.

Past participants include Quincy Jones, Annette Bening, Carrie Fisher, former Congressman Patrick J. Kennedy, Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation, Terry Bradshaw, Kid Cudi, Ronda Rousey, Rick Springfield, Melissa Rivers, Judy Collins and the NFL Players Association.

All proceeds help fund Didi Hirsch’s mental health and substance use services for low-income children and adults throughout Los Angeles and Orange counties and suicide prevention services for individuals nationwide.

We created a video series dedicated to ending the stigma of mental illness. To view stories of hope, click here.
